Bumpwatch- Week 16

How Far Along: I just finished my 16th week!

Best Moment of the Week: Playing Heads Up on the roof of The Boy's friend's house and watching the city skyline. Really, nothing that has anything to do with being pregnant, but that is healthy, right?

Most Interesting Prego Quirk:I have noticed that I get weirdly panicky about things. Usually, it takes a lot to ruffle my feathers, but I can't ride in the car with the Boy without feeling like he needs to hit the breaks! Pre-pregnancy, I thought the man drove like a very conservative granny. Now, you would think I was riding with Vin Diesel. I am pretty sure nothing has changed with his driving, and the car remains a consistent frail, lovable little death machine, but suddenly this seems to bother me.

I Would Really Like Some: All I can think about is the Chairman Braised Pork Bao sandwiches. I check their website frequently (almost every day?) to see where the food truck is today. Loyal readers will note this is not that different from Barbara a year ago. The difference is that now I live 2 states away, so I am not sure when they will be parked anywhere near me. This is some sadistic business I am indulging in now. I am wondering if I can write them a very pathetic letter and get some hints about how to make it ourselves. Maybe this is a ridiculous dream, but I can be ridiculous right? What is the point of pregnancy if not to beg for sandwiches?

Bizarro Thing No One Warned me About:  You can just not look pregnant for a good chunk of your pregnancy. You think prego, you think curvy and gorgeous and round, but it does not always play out that way! I am trying to not worry about it and just enjoy the giant nunjas.

And The Boy?: He was not pleased I could not be more useful with the deck. He is more pleased that the bed is finally usable, so I won't fall down the stairs when I zombie walk to the bathroom 4-5 times a night.

Looking Forward to: The babymoon and baby shower! Things are beginning to hit the calendar for the summer, so it seems like we have more baby- related things to plan for that aren't about all the crazy things that will happen to my body.
