1."I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. Our sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain."- JOHN ADAMS, letter to Abigail Adams, May 12, 1780

2. Judith Butler Explained... with Cats! Funniest thing I have seen all day. For anyone who thought that gender theory wasn't feline enough.
3. Hearing Petey's voice- my nephew got his tonsils out today, and it was so nice to both hear he was ok and to just hear him talk about how he doesn't like the Hulk. It was weird, because he is usually so chatty, but he sounded a little sad/ distant, but overall he was just fine and that's what we like. Also, being on the West Coast is so nice for things like this, because by the time we wake up, things are practically over. Its one of the few weird perks for the time change.
