3 Things for Yesterday- The Office Finale, Lazy Day, and Jet Lag Strikes Again

1. The Office Finale- I thought it was a really nice way to say goodbye, and the last 15 minutes or so were really fantastic. I was so happy/relieved that Steve Carrell came back, and I thought they gave him just enough to do. That definitely made me tear up. Low points? Ryan just abandoning his baby, and Nellie taking him, as if that would happen. And I LOVED the Joan Cusack moment, but as much as I loved Ed Begley Jr. I am not sure that was needed. I also feel ambivalent about the Jim/Pam storyline, though I loved that she reflected on it as showing her growth and learning to take a risk.

My favorite thing was what Andy said at the end- "I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you've actually left them." I feel like this is the theme of my life, and it was said so sweetly by him. Best of all, they kept Toby as much of a sad sack as he ever was. I can remember buying The Boy the first season while the second season was just starting, and we have been committed to the show since then, so I am sad to see it go, but I am glad it didn't linger even longer than it needed to. Yay to the Office, and thank goodness I still have my Parks and Rec.

2. I didn't have any volunteering or appointments yesterday (which is becoming really rare), so yesterday I could just clean the apartment and edit pictures. I am only 450 pictures away from being totally finished, so I am hoping that I will have it done by the end of the weekend (since the Boy is off for a boys weekend).

3. Waking up at 5:30! Oh we are making progress now. This is the worst jet lag ever.
