5 Things I Love this Week

1. Finding this random statue which looks a whole lot like Joe Pa, while the Joe Pa statue is wracked with so much debate- I have no idea whether the maker of this huge glass statue even knows about Joe Paterno, but it looks just like him. My cousin Ben argues that the Joe Pa statue should be put inside the museum, which I think is a good compromise. Today, a plane is flying over Penn State saying "Take down the statue, or we will". I am not sure how to feel about any of it, except really really sad. It was just so odd and shocking, having just had a long conversation about the other statue.

2. Altar Guild- 2 Saturdays a month we go out with a lady from our church and do the flowers for service. I love love love doing it. It really is a pleasure, especially because in this area we can buy all our flowers from the Farmer's Market. It is a great way to spend a Saturday morning.
3.My Pag earrings- my Dad bought me little hoops 2 Christmases ago, and they are still my favorite earrings. They are super comfy and cute (the hoops are probably smaller than a half inch) and they have lots of sentimental value because they are from him.
4. Getting French Food on Bastille Day in Honor of my Best Friend Melissa, who is in Paris Now- We had dinner at Belden Place in San Francisco, which they basically rope off for Bastille Day. I love themed eating! The french food was pretty good, but we were sitting next to a very odd couple. The Boy thought maybe it was a man and his prostitute. All in all, it was a good date.

5.All the pictures of people dressed up for Comic-con- I cannot get enough of these costumes! Some seem to just be an opportunity for people to get nearly naked, but some, like this millenium falcon dress, are truly genius. It's a good week to be a giant nerd! It just looks so fun!
