5 Things I Love this Week

1. Leslie Knope's speech in the finale of Parks and Recreation- I have to admit, I was ambivalent about the results of the election, because this has been my least favorite season, and I am afraid this might make things worse, but her speech really did choke me up. And the part at the end with the picture? Amazing. I felt like that was one of the most joyful moments on a sitcom ever. I love the show.
2. Livestrong's website- I was looking for information on what exercises I can do with a broken toe (God's punishment for my gossiping, I think), and I found this website, where you can track your eating and exercise. Not sure how it will go, but it seems like a cool tool, so I am going to go for it and see how it goes. If nothing else, it makes me way more aware of how I am actually doing on the eating thing, not to mention how bad I do on drinking the amount of water I am supposed to have everyday. That is the toughest part for me because water has no taste! It is the worst! Anyway, the goal is to be constantly learning to actually like those healthy habits, so that is what I am working on currently.
3. Fruit salad- It is about the only thing in the world that is so sweet and delicious and is actually good for you. We need to be on like a constant fruit salad diet.

4. The exhibition on California Conceptualism at BAMPFA. We went this weekend with my old college room mate and his super cute girlfriend, and I am so glad that is where we decided to go. I loved it. It was one of those shows where every time you turn a corner there was something else that you absolutely loved. Not to mention that the space there is great and the museum has so much going on (especially in comparison to the Stanford museum, which is much stuffier and less interesting). I may write a whole blog on the show, which was organized thematically, but I haven't finished processing yet. Still, on my "week off" it was the perfect situation to just go and see some great work.
5. I was a Male War Bride- Yes, I am on a serious Howard Hawks kick. This one is on Netflix, so you should definitely watch it. I also watched 49 and Up yesterday, which was really crushing and wonderful, so I am looking forward to watching that series, which is also on Netflix.
