Dissertation Progress- Back to Work

Now that I have the first draft in (and a nice break from the work), I am determined to get back to the research side of the proposal. I know my weakest section, by far, is the historiography, and I think that the key to doing a better version is doing more reading in some of the spots where I am weaker. The front and center biggest one of these is the postmodernism and media section, which I can see is a weak spot, but need to do the actual reading to understand what I am missing. So this is the goal for the next two weeks as I wait to get the draft back is to have a larger, more complex bibliography that marks all the things I need to do- which is pretty much everything.

I also need to start making connections with people that will get me more access to LA’s archives, so we will see how that goes, but I am very serious about it. I just have no idea how to do it. Blergy dissertation!

Lastly, it is time to read a whole bunch of William Burroughs and Herman Melville, which is super exciting, because it is fiction! When does that happen? Never is the answer. I never ever get to read fiction anymore.
