Wedding Wednesday- Inspiration

The capacity to love is tied to being able to be awake, to being able to move out of yourself and be with someone else in a manner that is not about your desire to possess them, but to be with them, to be in union and communion.-- bell hooks

Oh that bell hooks. So now that we have actual decisions made, the next thing to do is choose like colors and themes and so forth. I know I want red and orange, but I can't figure out what to pair with it- another bright like yellow or purple or a complementary more subdued color like a teal or celadon? I can't find exactly what I am thinking anywhere, but I think that is because secretly I just want all the colors. Ever. Every color.

I really like this color combo, but the boy isn't as much of a fan.

This is just a really gorgeous table. But kind of overwrought.

I think this one is my favorite by far, but the mismatched china and and chairs seems like a little much too. I mean, I would love it, but I have a partner who likes things a lot more ordered. We have to find some sort of balance, right?

Another pretty one.

This is a wedding in a greenhouse. I can't imagine how this would really work, but tell me it is not the prettiest thing ever. Seriously, super gorgeous. Who know hanging plants could make a wedding so awesome???

Other than all the colors and photo browsing (I think its still fun, but I can't imagine that feeling lasts forever), I have been thinking a lot about traditions, both bringing in my families traditions and keeping some of the traditions I really hate out. Exactly how much heteronormativity should somebody embrace to get married? Am I totally contradicting myself by doing this? I will probably write more on this later.
