5 Things I Love This Week

1. Scribblish (or Pictionary Telephone)- We played this game at both Greenes and Shileys and I laughed so hard I cried both times. It is a simple enough concept, but the results are hilarious. Hopefully we will play at Grammy's tomorrow. I also love games that are more about laughing together than competing. Anything that makes people laugh at "Woman, get out of my tree!" must be something special.

2. Skype. Usually, I don't totally enjoy skype, because you just sort of sit there and talk to people, but Skyping with my Mom and brother on Christmas really was fantastic. Being able to see the people you love, and have them see you, makes a lot of difference when you miss them so much. I still probably won't be skyping on a weekly basis, but I sure will when I want to play Battleship with my little brother.

3. Snow! Christmas just wouldn't be the same without it. How can you appreciate the warmth of home if outside seems about the same! Plus, it strengthens the bond between me and the space heater.

4. Sur la Table. My dad got me the best Christmas present ever when he bought me a huge collection of Cookie cutters from Sur La Table. We got all the letters, dinosaurs, leaves, animals, and some regular Christmasy ones. I love getting gifts that sort of scream for the future. I can't wait to make all these cookies! And, if I get enough elaborate gear, maybe I will get my own baking cabinet someday. On a related note, I think I have eaten my weight in sugar cookies the past two weeks. Time to get back on my diet.

5. Kobena Mercer. My mom bought me his book and I can't wait to read it.
